What is Painting the AT with Love?

This summer, LaMB (Laura Marie Blankenship) of LaMB Fine Art, is hiking the 537 miles from one tip of Virginia to the other: Damascus to the WV line. Armed with eco-friendly exterior paints by AFM SafeCoat, she is stopping at these hiker-voted favorite trail angels and businesses to paint 2 of them a FREE mural up to a 54 square foot mural, valued at $2,500. 50% of any profits (after rewards are paid for) above and beyond LaMB’s goal goes directly to Hike for Mental Health, a non-profit that funds research on mental illness and preservation of wildlife trails!

To be an integral part of helping launch this artisan project that supports the trail, get yourself some amazing hiking tights (AKA leggings), AND a rad microfiber “Brave Bandana”, both printed with LaMB’s painting “Let Your Love Grow Tall”, or score limited edition signed LaMB Fine Art prints autographed by the musicians of the shows they were painted at (featuring prints from Annabelle’s Curse and Earth By Train), visit the crowdfunding site before they run out!

Be an integral part of the project! DONATE NOW and receive sweet artsy gear or original paintings and prints!

Here is the page about free murals, with Frequently Asked Questions and a teaser video. All the spots to be included in the vote are taken, but you can VOTE HERE.

If you are interested in supporting this artisan project that helps businesses along the trail, there are many ways. One HUGE way is just by sharing the project. One way is by being a paid mural sponsor: you can purchase a mural for your home or business, there are a limited number of paid murals (only 4!) that LaMB will complete by early July, 2017. These are murals up to 10′ x 14′ feet (140 square feet) at $1,250. (What a steal!) Laura is also happy to do a painting that size. If you are interested in this limited number of large mural paintings, feel free to contact Laura at and check out the cool, small, free murals she is giving away to trail angels and businesses, that YOU are helping make happen!
